Profiles: Harbor Haus Harbor Haus proclaims itself as "Michigan's northernmost restaurant." The restaurant is on the shores of Lake Superior at the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula in Copper Harbor. It offers menu items ranging from the local fish catch to German cuisine. \ Harbor Haus is seasonal, open from the Memorial Day weekend through mid-October. Harbor Haus uses homegrown herbs and vegetables, as well as seasonal local strawberries, huckleberries, raspberries and wild blueberries. Copper plays a big part of the decor. Local businessman John Markam originally owned the 1,720 pound copper piece which stands outside the entrance of the restaurant. The Harbor Haus bought and transported it to its current location.
